cultural heritage agriculture environmental science

Historic Oakview/ Farm History Center

In a barn-like building created over 40 interactive learning stations supporting the North Carolina public school curriculum on subjects ranging from cultural heritage and agriculture to environmental science.

 

 

Brunswick Town Visitors Center

Size: 1,600 sq. ft.

Within the renovated display hall, the new exhibits and graphics engage each visitor along a meandering path including Pre-History, Colonial, and Civil War periods. The space allows visitors to examine the 40+ interpretive artifact exhibits and walk within forested archeological dig.

 

The Jesse Helms Center

Size: 2,500 sq. ft.

Exhibits tracing the accomplishments of U.S. Senator Jesse Helms and celebrating our country's economic foundation in the Free Enterprise Hall of Fame are brought to life through the use of interactive multi-media; allowing visitors to reenact the senator's speech to the U.N. and trace the careers of North Carolina's legendary entrepreneurs.

 

 

Billy Graham –Life and Career

Charlotte History Museum

Created an exhibit unique to the museum’s traditional artifact based displays by using a series of vignettes to set the stage for interactive multi-media experiences that bring to life each decade covering the sixty year career of world-renowned evangelist Billy Graham.

 

 

Discovery Place

Our award-winning work for the first phase Discovery Place set the standard for today’s interactive “hands-on” science centers. DJS Design’s continued involvement with the museum has included the design of new exhibits such as Our Living Planet; traveling exhibits such as Water Wonders; and involvement in the museum’s 60,000 sq. ft. expansion in 1995.
