Kohler Company - Comprehensive Sign Program
Motiska Design has been engaged by Kohler Company to develop a comprehensive signage program across multiple laboratory departments. The project focuses on delivering a clear, organized, and visually cohesive wayfinding and identification system for Kohler’s lab environments.
The sign program spans seven departments: Material Lab, Bathing Lab, Model Shop, Chemistry Lab, Packaging Lab, Faucets Lab, and Fixtures Lab. This includes a range of hanging and mounted signs tailored to the needs of each workspace. Each sign is carefully designed to identify workstations, equipment, and department areas, making navigation seamless for employees and visitors alike.
A key feature of the project is the implementation of a master sign list, organized by department and designed to be flexible across multiple locations. The list provides detailed specifications for each sign, including station identification, quantity, and text content, alongside a reference for consistent sign ID naming.
Motiska Design is also exploring new design concepts for the starting bench area, incorporating larger-scale signs to create a more impactful visual experience. These concepts will be finalized and ready for review shortly, demonstrating Motiska Design’s commitment to blending functional clarity with strong visual design.
“Working with Kohler on this project allows us to combine precision, organization, and visual appeal in a way that directly supports their operational workflow,” said John Motiska, Founder of Motiska Design. “Our goal is to create a signage system that is not only functional but enhances the overall lab environment.”
The Kohler Company signage project is a continuation of Motiska Design’s work in creating tailored, high-quality design solutions for corporate and industrial environments in the Sheboygan area and beyond.
